I arrived in Alameda after an uneventful plane ride from Philadelphia. Of course, I only went to bed 3 hours before I was supposed to get up. I overslept and had to make a mad dash to the airport. I still managed to get some pretzels for Ted and Michael. I am told that Alameda is a very beautiful place but we did not stay long enough to find out. As soon as I arrived, we turned around and went back out for a run in San Francisco.
San Francisco is such a beautiful place. No wonder it cost so much money to live here.
I learned a good lesson on "micro-climates" today. It was 70 degrees and sunny with little wind in Alameda. We drove about 15 miles to Crissy Field and it was about 60 degrees with gale force winds.
